What most firms ask first
- Will client information leak if we use ChatGPT?
- It can. The fix is nearly always a written rule for what may go in, plus the right settings on tools you already pay for. A server of your own is the expensive answer and rarely the right one.
- What does our regulator expect?
- Each profession has its own guidance, and it is usually shorter than people fear. We read it with you and write down what it asks of you, with the source next to each line. The obligation stays yours. We do not give legal, tax or accounting advice.
- Will it save us time?
- Only a pilot can tell you that. We run one before anyone promises a number.
How an engagement runs
The first call is free and takes twenty minutes. Everything after it is a fixed-fee step that ends in something you keep, and you get the fee in writing before each step starts.
- Understand. An hour on a call, then a two-page write-up: the work that eats your week, what information passes through each part of it, what your regulator expects, and where to start. Then, as a separate step, two or three tools tested on made-up files that look like yours, never real client data. You get a one-page comparison and a fixed price for each piece of work on your list.
- Set up. One workflow at a time, inside the tools you already pay for. We verify the settings, write the rule for what may and may not go in, and leave a one-page how-to for staff. Then a pilot of two to four weeks where the tool drafts and a person sends. It ends with a short report on what it saved and what went wrong.
- Govern. A register of every AI tool the firm uses, what each can touch, and how to stop it. A limit on what tools may do: they draft, a person sends. A one-page brief on the firm, who you are and how you write to clients, that every tool reads before it drafts anything. An AI use policy and the clause for your engagement letter. A log of what the tool did and who checked it. A half day each quarter to test it all again. It lives in your own accounts. You own it.
You pay for each step as you take it, you keep what each step produces, and you can stop after any of them. You do not need a server. Nothing goes out that you did not read.
What we will not do
- Host anything your client information flows through. Your firm runs its own accounts. We are never the platform.
- Give legal, tax or accounting advice. We name the obligation and point at the source. It stays yours.
- Recommend a tool we have not run ourselves.
- Promise a saving before a pilot has measured one.
